Stan Penn – Owner of The Celt in McKinney, TX

Stan became the owner of what is now The Celt in May 2014. Stan is a native Texan with Irish roots, tracing his ancestry back to County Limerick, Ireland. His past corporate career has taken him to Oregon and St. Louis, but his dream was always to return to Texas and own a pub. “I fell in love with the place the first time I saw it and I knew this was going to be the next chapter of my life”, Stan. So far its been a grand adventure. Stan travels to Ireland two to three times a year and has a passion for all things Gaelic. The Irish use the word “craic” to describe what goes on in a pub – news, gossip, fun, entertainment, and most important – enjoyable conversation. The craic is always mighty at The Celt!
