I’m Steve Coyne. I’ve been playing the Bagpipes since 2001 all around the Chicagoland area in my off time for the Chicago Police Department. From 2002-2011, I participated in the Pipes & Drums of the Chicago Police Department, playing with fellow officers to honor our fallen brothers and sisters as well as numerous other civil servant events. From 2011-2016, I was a member of Bagpipes and Drums of the Emerald Society -Chicago Police Department. I also played with the hottest south side Irish cover band, Red Rebel County from 2011-2017. We covered Dropkick Murphy’s, The Real McKenzie’s, Flogging Molly, along with our own tunes.

I retired from the Chicago Police Dept on December 15, 2021 with almost 24 years of service. I moved to North Texas in December of 2021.
